Darrell Bryant, CFS®, CAS®

Known throughout the area for his experience in Omaha retirement planning, Darrell Bryant, CFS®, CAS® takes the time to carefully learn his clients’ needs and develops a strategy that helps them work towards their retirement income goals.

As a fiduciary with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Darrell recognizes the need for unique and personalized services for investors at the time of retirement. At this stage of life, it is of utmost importance to reevaluate investment strategies — reduce risk, help protect assets, and create an income-generating plan.

Darrell has made these retirement issues his area of focus. Over the past 30 years, he has established himself as an authority with a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®) designation and a Certified Annuity Specialist (CAS®) designation from the Institute of Business & Finance. Darrell is host of Retirement Strategies Radio, heard Saturday mornings at 7am-9am and 12pm on 1110 KFAB. His articles on financial planning have been featured on Fortune.com, FoxBusiness.com, Money.com, and in the Midland Business Journal.

Darrell knows many near-retirees are not sure when retirement will become truly affordable, without fear of running out of money years down the road. Current retirees might wonder if positive changes can still be made, regardless of their age. Mike Lester, Founder - Talon Wealth

A native of Florida, Mike graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a bachelor’s degree in economics. After graduation, he pursued a career in commodities trading with Archer Daniels Midland in Chicago. Recognizing a desire to work with investments while residing in his home state of Florida, Mike started what is now Talon Wealth Management in 1998.

He hosts a weekly live radio program on weekend mornings called “Guarding Your Nest Egg.” The program focused on the individual and answering investment questions and concerns live on the radio.

Mike Lester and Talon Wealth Management continue to grow while maintaining a commitment to personalized client service. Mike’s many years in the industry have given him the mature experience needed to guide his clients toward financial security and confidence.

Mike currently resides in Central Florida with his wife, Katie, and their four beautiful children.

Both Mike and his wife feel truly blessed to have a happy, healthy family, as well as careers, focused on helping individuals.

Mike Leddy

Account Transfer Representative

Mike works closely with our vendors on account transfers to make sure they are completed correctly and in a timely manner. He will follow up on each transfer until the account is completely funded, and he is available to provide updates and answer questions throughout the process. Mike also helps write the daily “Market Report” for 1110 KFAB.

Kaylee Vangerpen

Senior New Accounts Representative

Kaylee’s pristine attention to detail ensures the smooth transition of accounts for our families. All paperwork for new accounts comes from Kaylee after she gathers all the necessary data. Kaylee is available to answer questions during this transition phase. She is also our “involuntary office technology guru.”

Barbara Jaekels

Director of Operations

Barbara coordinates with all employees daily to keep the office running efficiently and to ensure all our families’ needs are met. Barbara wears many hats in the office, which allows her to assist in many processes in the departments. She is dedicated to making sure the office is providing the best service.

Sarah DeLaet

Office Manager

Sarah coordinates all marketing for the office while maintaining compliance for outgoing communications to the public. She manages all employee licenses and makes sure we are current on licensing with insurance carriers and the industry. Sarah is also our team outing coordinator and planner.

Beth Behne

Senior Client Relations Representative

Beth is one of the first points of contact for new families. She is passionate about going above and beyond to welcome new families to the office by preparing them for their appointments. She keeps the office calendar organized and gathers data needed for the appointment preparation process from start to finish.

Haley Brodnak

Client Relations Representative

Haley is also one of the first points of contact for new families. Haley answers incoming phone calls, schedules appointments, and helps gather data necessary for the first appointments. She prides herself on providing excellent customer service and is our resident classic rock trivia contributor.

Katie Halstead

Client Service Representative

Katie is the main point of contact for all current families once accounts have been transferred. She will initiate all processing changes such as withdrawal requests, change of beneficiaries, address changes, etc. Katie is available to answer questions and schedule time with Darrell as necessary.

Becky Rogers

Advisor Assistant

Becky brings over 15 years of industry experience to our office. She attends and takes detailed notes for all meetings. As Darrell’s direct assistant, she keeps the appointment data organized and prepares the meetings for each day. She also helps obtain the data necessary to open new accounts.

Debbie Comer


A lifetime resident of Eustis, Florida, Debbie is the client services manager and sales assistant
at Talon Wealth Management. She graduated from Lake Sumter State College and has 21 years of experience working in the financial industry.

Jim Bailey


Jim meets with clients and is an Investment Advisor Representative in Florida with over 34 years of experience in the finance industry. Jim focuses on understanding every clients’ financial goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and liquidity needs in order to build a successful financial strategy for their lives.

John M. Jansen


With a bachelor’s in Economics from Virginia Tech, John started his career in financial service in 1992. John objective is bringing financial peace of mind and a successful financial future to each of his clients without large investment firms’ sales influences.

Jesse J. Case, CFE


Jesse was born and raised in Savannah, GA. He served in the military for 12 years. After the military Jesse earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration focus was Accounting from Southern Oregon University. Later he went on to earn his Master of Science in Accounting from Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University. Jesse also earned his Certified Fraud Examiner credential (CFE).

John Newell


Raised in Alabama and educated at Auburn University with a degree in Finance, John Newell moved to Florida in 2002. He believes that personalized planning is essential to the success of a financial plan because he recognizes that every economic and life situation is unique.

Jill Clymer


Jill grew up on the West Coast but has lived in Florida for 20 years. As concierge at Talon Wealth, she makes sure our clients are a click or phone call away from connecting with their advisor. She also plans events that enhance our client-advisor relationships, and are just plain fun!

Robin Pearce


Robin is a native of Eustis, Florida. She is a client services administrator at Talon Wealth, bringing many years of customer service and administrative experience with her to the Talon team. Robin likes planning trips with a group of her friends she’s known since elementary school.

Ben Kochera


Born and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Ben now lives in St. Petersburg, FL with his wife Taryn and their two children Lilly and Jake. Starting his career in financial services in 2000 with a captive financial services company and soon after transitioned to working as an independent financial advisor.

Stacy Fusco


Stacy is a graduate of the University of Florida and has spent most of her life living in Florida between Gainesville and Jacksonville. She’s definitely caught the travel bug. After living in Japan and Italy for a number of years she’s become a fan of travel and experiencing new places and cultures.

Bryan Bentley


Bryan Bentley has spent the past 19 years in the financial services industry as an analyst, asset manager, and trusted advisor. He brings a practical, real-world, and holistic approach to his practice and engages with clients on a personal level. Known for his business acumen and experience in retirement income and financial advisory, Bryan works with clients and families across the country to help, protect, preserve, and grow their assets.

Steve Arceo


Raised in Arizona, Steve started working in financial services in 2010. He’s married to his sweetheart Lorena and has two boys, Esteban and Diego. When he’s not in the office you’ll find him with a camera in his hand, Steve has been an avid photographer since his days in yearbook club from grade school.
